Welcome! Willkommen! Bienvenidos!

Welcome to FUMC, where it is our desire to be a place of peace for all, a faith community joining together in the movement towards God’s vision for the world. We are in the midst of a very exciting name change -- soon we will be 'Peace Church on 52nd' with a new webiste and new signs!

Coming Soon to a Church Parking Lot Near You: FUMC's Summer Movie Night (part 1)!

That's right, on July 19th, at 9:15pm (just enough time for it to start getting dark) we'll be screening the movie August Rush (Click Here for the IMDB details) for church folk and neighbourhood friends alike. Come join us for some good summer watching, some popcorn, and a chance to mingle with our neighbours!

A Little Summer Listening...

For those of you wanting something to listen to on those lazy summer afternoons on the beach or in the backyard, there are three new FUMC sermons (from June) up in our 'Sermons' tab. From Acts to Galatians to the Minor Prophets, there's something for everyone!

Joint Service with Sherbrooke Mennonite Church!

It's almost July, which means it's time for our annual joint service with Sherbrooke Mennonite Church, our brothers and sisters just down the road from us in South Hill! We'll have the privilege of hearing an overview on the Minor Prophets from Regent College grad Tim Boland, and gathering around the Lord's Table together to celebrate communion. Come one, come all, and let us worship as one united body this Sunday!

TRC Preparation Day -- Dialogue Circle this Saturday!

Please join us in the church basement this Saturday, June 29th, from 9am to 4pm as we sit down with Residential School Survivors and other folks who will help us better understand the native communities all around us in the Lower Mainland. We'll be watching films, talking together, and learning what it means to extend the shalom of Christ to all those who have been wounded and hurt by past experiences. Come join us!

(there is no fee for this event, and coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided. However, please bring a bag lunch, or plan to head out to one of the many wonderful restaurants on Fraser St.!)
