Joint Baptism Service!

Next Sunday, on June 2nd, we will be having our joint service with First United Spanish Mennonite Church (FUSMC) to celebrate the season of Pentecost together!

And the gift of the Spirit means three things: baptism, speaking in many different languages (English and German and Spanish, oh my!), and table fellowship (both around the communion table, and around the tables downstairs as we share in a fundraising lunch for the Spanish Resource Centre. So come join us as we welcome in newly baptised Christians, as we join together in fellowship, and as we enjoy some good food!

Peter, Peter, Peter...

Leave behind your fishing nets, leap in the water, and swim on over to the 'Sermons' tab -- our next two sermons from our Simon Peter series are up. Tim Bratton's sermon on John 21 comes highly recommended!

2013 South Hill Festival!

The 11th Annual South Hill Festival is happening this weekend ! This festival is a community event that celebrates our vibrant, diverse, and inter-connected neighbourhood, and it's happening this Saturday, May 25th, from 12-4pm.

We'll be participating in the Festival by running a smoothie and watermelon stand -- making fresh fruit smoothies with our bike blender! Come by and join us as we seek to engage with and serve the community -- our booth will be in the Parking Lot 2, between East 47th and East 48th, just off Fraser St.

Good Seed Sunday Sermon -- now up!

Click on over to the 'Sermons' tab to hear Lydia Cruttwell's Good Seed Sunday sermon on creation -- both the bad news and the good news. There's also several other links to articles and websites talking about creation and creation-care. And once you're done reading those, get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather!

Come Pray with Us! (at 7:30pm)

This Monday May 6th, we will be meeting in the church basement at 7:30pm for our monthly prayer meeting. Please come join us in praying for ourselves, our church, our city and our world!

Please be aware -- this prayer service is incorrectly listed in the bulletin and on the calendar as happening at 7pm. Our apologies for the mistake -- it actually starts at 7:30!
