Kingcrest ELL Teacher Needed!

FUMC is proud to partner with Kingcrest International Neighbours, a Christian non-profit organisation that seeks to welcome newcomers and immigrants by teaching ELL classes out of our Education Building on 51st Ave.

The Winter term started last week with a full roster of students and teachers, but unfortunately one Level 3 teacher had to drop out due to an emergency. If you would like to gain some teaching experience and/or help new Canadians improve their English, please contact Roberto Galdamez (Kingcrest Coordinator) at 778-688-4795 or at

Thank you!

Faith and Mental Health

This January and February, many of our Sunday Worship services will be focussed on the topic of mental health -- what does it mean to have good mental health, how to care well for those experiencing mental illness, and how our faith in Jesus Christ can provide hope, healing, and love in this important area of life.

If you would like more information about faith and mental health, please consult these two resources:

"God of All Comfort" -- worship resources on mental health published by Communitas, an Abbotsford-based organisation focusing on those living with disabilities.

Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries -- a Vancouver-based organisation helping people of faith receive mental health support within their communities.

Come join us on Sundays at 10am as we seek to love and be loved!
