Mennonite Church Canada Assembly

Last week (June 5-7) was the annual meeting for Mennonite Church Canada. Those who gathered in Saskatoon enjoyed a good time of meeting together, singing, and conducting some of the "business" of the church. A few highlights:
- discussion around what it means to be a faithful church in the midst of disagreements
- reports on the ongoing growth and development of Mennonite churches across the country
- a resolution committing the national church, area conferences, and local churches to actively promoting Jesus' message of peace, in the face of increasing Canadian militarization
